Meet, Alejandro Ambriz.

“My name is Alex and I'm a portrait & landscape photographer from the San Fernando Valley. I've been in the photo & video industry for 7 years. I got my start in 2018 as a staff writer & photographer at ELAC campus news. Shortly after I began doing portrait work; initially with friends and mutuals, then with models. In 2019 I started my Instagram page as a way to showcase my progression which led to paid work. Graduations, small parties and weddings got me through the next few years until I graduated from CSULA with a degree in Communications in 2021. That same year my friend Jose and I founded our photo & video company 85 Mil Productions as a means to be able to separate our personal projects from work. Our third member, Rudy, joined in 2023 and the rest is history. I love what I do, every day and all the time. I get to execute projects, I've had the privilege to shoot for Hollywood Forever's Dia de Muertos, Bésame Mucho Texas, San Fernando Valley Pride Parade, Tournament of Roses Parade and so many more.”

85mil. Productions

“85mil was created in late 2021 when my friend Jose and I were still working independently. We were both working gigs and trying to get our names out there when we realized the potential in being a team that could take on big events. We bid our time, gaining more experience and a larger clientele while getting logistics in order. At the beginning of 2023 we launched our website and Instagram to promote our work. That's also around the time our newest member and old friend, Rudy, joined us. What sets us apart is our interactions with our clients. People often see photos as a drag or a daunting experience, but with us it's fun. Every step of the way we are there to help you get over your lack of confidence or answer questions you may have. At the end of an event we will usually joke about how we messed around more than we worked because of our easygoing nature. I find this to be the part I am most proud of in our company. It's a true skill to be able to connect and bond with a client because at the end of the day we all want the same thing: beautiful, uncontrived and high quality photographs that hold a priceless value. Having that trust between the client and us allows for all parties to be themselves; without compromise.”
